We designed some free printable candy bar wrapper templates for you that allow you to add your own names and wedding date! If you don’t want to use them as wedding favors, you can personalize them for just about any occasion.

Just when you thought it couldn’t get any better, we’ve created two sizes! The large wrappers will fit a 5 oz candy bar, and the smaller size will fit a 2.6 oz candy bar.

Download Candy Bar Wrapper Template – Large – Blue (5 oz candy bar)

Download Candy Bar Wrapper Template – Small – Blue (2.6 oz candy bar)

Download Large Red Candy Bar Wrapper Template (5 oz candy bar)

Download Small Red Candy Bar Wrapper Template (2.6 oz candy bar)

Once you have downloaded the candy bar wrapper templates, print them on cardstock. (I used ivory cardstock.)

Remove commercial wrapper from your candy bar.

Cut your wrapper.

Wrap personalized wrapper around candy bar. I used photo mounting squares to adhere, but you could also use double sided tape.

Voila!

Yesterday, I showed you how to make a burlap favor bag. Today, we’re going to make a felt peony to decorate the favor bag.

I found the template for the flower over at Yoonie at Home. Yoonie used the flower to make hair clips. You can use them to decorate just about anything!

Felt Flower Tutorial

Materials:

Felt

Straight pins

scissors

needle and thread

button

Download the template and print.

Cut out each shape and place on your felt. (I didn’t use the green leaf shape.)

Pin your shapes to the felt.

Cut out your shapes.

Stack your shapes in the same sequence as the diagram on the template.

Place button in centre and sew onto burlap bag.

Fill your bags with whatever you want! I love the idea of flower bulbs! Perfect for an eco-friendly wedding!

Now that you’ve made your delicious caramels from this caramels recipe, I’m offering a free wedding printable that will help you make these adorable DIY candy favor bags. You can put just about any kind of candy in these bags and customize them to suit your wedding theme. We used heart cardstock because Valentine’s Day is fast approaching. The free wedding printable is a template – in two different sizes – that you can use when cutting out your card stock.

I got the idea for these candy favor bags over at Martha Stewart Weddings.

Materials

Cellophane candy bag

card stock

scissors

bone folder

ribbon

Scotch tape

1. Download your free printable template by right-clicking on the following links and selecting “save link as”…

Template for 5″ x 11 1/2″ cellophane bag

Template for 4″ x 9 1/2″ cellophane bag

2. Using the template, cut your piece of card stock. Fold card stock using a bone folder, as directed.

3. Place folded card stock inside cellophane bag. Place candy inside bag. (I put a dozen homemade caramels in the bag.)

4. Turn bag over. Place piece of ribbon on the edge of the bag opening. Fold bag over ribbon twice. Although Martha doesn’t mention this, I think it’s a good idea to secure it with a small piece of Scotch tape.

5. Turn bag over and tie ribbon in a knot or bow. Presto, you have your adorable DIY candy favor bag!

I found a tutorial for creating this paper CD sleeve over at Martha Writes. (She calls it easy peasy cd sleevey.) To dress them up, you could use fancy paper, and use a custom-made rubber stamp made with your names and wedding date to stamp the front.

I admit it. Post-Chinese food, I usually crack open the fortune cookie just to see what’s inside. Often, I don’t eat the cookie because it’s stale and slightly musty. I just want to get at the secret message to read about how wise and insightful I am:)

I really like the idea of fortune cookies for weddings. Not necessarily the edible kind – although I’m sure the homemade ones are de-lish. I like the fabric fortune cookies, like the ones I blogged about over here. Or the ones made of paper.

I came across this fabulous free template for creating your own fortune cookie made out of paper over at Kind over Matter.

Although I love the concept of leaving these ‘kindness messages’ behind for strangers to find, I think these would make really fun favors or great for ‘Will you be my bridesmaid?’ messages. Simply customize with your own message.
