Dalanna, there are plenty of ways to save money when it comes to a wedding. I had roughly 350 guests at my wedding and we spent about $9,000 so it can be done. I was very satisfied with most everything. It also helped that my Aunt does wedding cakes for a living and only charged us $200 in materials to make out massive cake. Also, my brother-in-laws Uncle was a photographer and gave us a better rate. My husbands Aunt is a florist and gave us 25 percent off. Other than that we paid for everything full price. There is a great website called recycled bride. I did not use this for my wedding because I found out about it after I got married but there are great deals on there. Knowing people is the key. Also, knowing the appropriate corners to cut when saving money. I know the wedding dress is an important gown and that was the single most expensive thing at my wedding that we paid for but my good friend found an amazing designer gown on sale (like major sale) I was so jealous that she was able to save so much money by finding a gown that was more budget friendly. Keep in mind my figure did not include the rehersal dinner. My only regret would have to be the photographer though. Even though he gave us a great deal I wish I would have pick my own photographer because my vision and his vision were not the same. Knowing what I know now, I would have spend the extra 500 bucks to have AMAZING pictures rather that good pictures from a great camera.

I have never thought about how an apartment wedding will be like, but I believe that if you want something nice and simple this is the way to have it.
