Kindra & Bryan’s Cabo Surf Hotel wedding was filled with love, warmth and tons of dancing. The couple chose Cabo Surf Hotel after a friend, who had been there before, showed them photos of the boutique hotel. It was love at first sight! The wedding party booked up nearly the entire hotel, turning the wedding into a fun-filled private vacation.

The couple tied the knot by the ocean, surrounded by 50 of their nearest and dearest. The reception included a dinner of delicious Mexican food, and a churro bar for dessert. The guests danced the rest of the night away, making for an unforgettable end to this wonderful wedding.

Thanks to Sara Richardson Photography for documenting this wedding so beautifully!

Why did you have an intimate wedding?

We had envisioned a small wedding with just our family and close friends from the minute we got engaged.  Both of our first weddings we did the big ordeal and this time around we both wanted to keep it with just the closest people in our lives that love and support us.

What are some of the challenges that you faced planning an intimate wedding?

The main challenge was excluding people. We decided to just include our immediate family and not extended family so we would say that was a big challenge for us.

Was it difficult to pare down the guest list?

It was for us.  We went back and forth about it but at the end of the day we knew we wanted it to be small and intimate.

Did you have any  ‘issues’ with the small guest list from friends and family? If so, how did you address them?

Being that it was a destination wedding and us wanting it very small, we were lucky that everyone understood why we kept the guest list to the minimum.

What were the highlights of the ceremony?

The highlights for the bride was having her two daughters walk her down the aisle and getting to say her vows to the marry the man of her dreams on the most beautiful beach.  The highlights for the groom were while listing to his bride’s vows knowing he had fallen in love with the right woman.

What were the highlights of the reception?

The main highlights were that the weather turned out to be the most perfect evening and we and all of our guests danced the night away! Oh and the Churro bar was to die for 🙂

What was the best thing about having an intimate wedding?

The best thing about having an intimate wedding was that we were truly able to visit with each and every one of our guests.  Every single person who was there was so close to us and meant to be there.

What advice do you have for couples  who are considering an intimate wedding?

Our advice is to stick with it.  You won’t regret having an intimate wedding.  It is hard to cut down the guest list but at the end of the day this is about the two of you and the people who matter to you most being there.
