I’ve already been moved to write poetry about the humble mason jar. Just when I thought I’d run out of DIY ideas with the ever-useful jar, I stumbled on this DIY mason jar soap dispenser tutorial. This would perfect for your bathroom decor if you are having a shabby chic outdoor wedding.

Okay, so I'm obsessed with this... but where do you find the old-timey versions with the patinaed top? The ones I've seen in stores always have a shiny lid and that's just not the same.
Hi Amanda,
Sometimes you'll luck out at flea markets or second hand stores. They also sell them on ebay http://shop.ebay.com/?_from=R40&_trksid=p3907.m570.l1313&_nkw=mason+jar&_sacat=See-All-Categories
Perfect. Thanks so much! I never ever even dreamed of eBay. I think the aged top makes a world of difference... :)
I love this idea. And you could even add some colored stones and artificial flowers inside then use a see through colored soap. It would add some decor to any sink.
I love it! Had to make myself one and will be sharing the tutorial with my church group soon so thanks so much! Linked to you and will give you all the credit when I share it again: http://aloadofcraft.blogspot.com/2011/01/mason-jar-soap-dispenser.html
Awesome! Thanks so much for letting me know about your project. It looks like it turned out great!
