    Boho Styled Shoot

Posted on April 15, 2019 by Christina

Today’s boho themed style shoot is full of wonderful whimsical details that would be perfect for a casual elopement.

Here’s what Gabriella from Gabriella Sutherland Photography had to say about the shoot:

One of my absolute favorite images from this shoot (aside from the gorgeous models) is the bouquet in the window. Dashing Designs LLC did such a great job creating this bouquet (made of silk I might add!) that it deserved to be displayed with lots of light complementing the beautiful colors. The colors of the barn inside flattered the bouquet perfectly as well. The table was also flawlessly coordinated with Jesse’s bouquet. The plating had a unique pattern and color scheme to it and the florals were placed perfectly around it, with gorgeous candles and accents. I knew I wanted to show off every inch of that table in my images and leave nothing out. It is probably one of my favorite table settings yet.

Jesse and Justin ended their night with a beautiful sparkler exit. They were even willing to step away from everyone for a couple cute sparkler shots alone with just the two of them. Sparklers are one of my favorite things to take photos of with couples, and I love photographing the night sky and bright lights with a gorgeous couple in their wedding attire.

Griffin and Philip’s Connecticut Restaurant Wedding

Posted on April 12, 2019 by Christina

Griffin and Philip chose a modern and stylish Mexican restaurant in Westport, CT called BarTaco to say their ‘I do’s.’

“We only wanted to include guests that were meaningful to us who play and played an important role in our lives,” they explained.

Their wedding was big on fun, and low on stress – just the type of wedding that guests adore!

A big thanks to Stephanie Zakas from Zakas Photography for sharing this awesome low-key wedding with us!

Griffin, 34 & Philip Dominic Socci Jr. 40

    Location: Westport, CT

    Wedding Date: September 29, 2018

    Number of Guests: 75

    Wedding Cost: $25,000

Wedding Ceremony Location: BarTaco Westport, CT

Wedding Reception Location: BarTaco Westport, CT

Why did you have an intimate wedding?

We only wanted to include guests that were meaningful to us who play and played an important role in our lives.

What are some the challenges that you faced planning an intimate wedding?

Ensuring that people would still have a good time and that they were fed and watered appropriately.

Was it difficult to pare down the guest list?

Yes, as we have so many people who love ya!

Did you have any ‘issues’ with the small guest list from friends and family? If so, how did you address them?

We didn’t really, but did have to cut off some family at first cousins!

What were the highlights of the ceremony?

Our vows overlooking the river with one of our best friends as officiant.

What were the highlights of the reception?

Great music, my fathers speech when he returned a matchbox car I lent him when I was seven – a real special moment.

What was the best thing about having an intimate wedding?

It was such a good vibe and we were able to have a great time and to visit with everyone!

What advice do you have for couples who are considering an intimate wedding?

Do it. Don’t be pressured into having a big ceremony because others want it. It’s your day, so do what you want.

    Airy Beach Elopement Styled Shoot

Posted on April 8, 2019 by Christina

Warm ocean breezes and velvety sand beneath your toes. Sounds like a pretty sweet elopement backdrop to us!

If you’ve ever dreamed about heading to the shore for a care-free, nature-inspired elopement, you will love this styled shoot photographed on Galveston Beach in Texas by the talented Jessica Palacios from Rae Leigh Photography.

Here’s what Jessica had to say about the shoot:

“We took elements from the wind and sea and incorporated them into this shoot. We wanted to create something airy, romantic, and most of all, simple. What I love most about this shoot is the emotion between the models, who are also married in real life!”
