There’s no better time of year to get married than the fall.

Autumn theme weddings are popular with couples that love this time of year.

Here are some ideas for creating an autumn theme wedding:

Flowers/Centerpieces/Décor – For centerpieces, use leaves along with Indian corn, gourds, squash, bittersweet and small pumpkins or simply use fall flowers, such as mums and hydrangeas and place them in baskets. Photo: Romantic Home

Colors – Have attendants wear fall colors, such as wine, navy, rust orange, or brown and use the colors in your decor. Photo: Michael Serventi

Food – Serve harvest foods such as butternut squash soup, turkey with stuffing and pumpkin pie. Offer food stations with an autumn theme. Photo: La Tartine Gourmande 

Favors – For favors, give guests cinnamon and apple scented potpourri, small bottles of maple syrup or maple sugar. Or make some maple flavored sea glass candy!
