Who says you can’t have a fairytale wedding with only 10 guests? South Carolina couple Megan and Jamie did just that! With a horse drawn carriage ride, an intimate church ceremony performed by a close family friend, and a live performance of “their song”, these newlyweds couldn’t have asked for a more perfect wedding day to share with their nearest and dearest of family and friends.

Special thanks to Dana Cubbage for capturing all the magical moments so we could share them with you today!

Why did you have an intimate wedding?

We both always wanted a small and intimate wedding that we could share with those most important to us.

What are some of the challenges that you faced planning an intimate wedding?

Not a single challenge (honestly!).

Was it difficult to pare down the guest list?

Not at all, since we just included immediate family.

Did you have any ‘issues’ with the small guest list from friends and family? If so, how did you address them?

We had no issues at all since everyone respected our wishes for a very small, intimate wedding.

What were the highlights of the ceremony?

I will always treasure the horse and carriage ride over to the church with just my Dad before he gave me away at the ceremony. We were so blessed to have the ceremony presided over by our very close family friend, Father Tony, whom I have known since I was a little girl. He made the ceremony so personal, incredibly special, and one that we will always remember.

What were the highlights of the reception?

The reception was just perfect! We were so fortunate to have a special live performance of “our song”, God Gave Me You, for our first dance.

What was the best thing about having an intimate wedding?

We were truly able to take everything in, fully immerse ourselves in the day, and, as a result, enjoy every single moment from beginning to end. To be able to share that special day with the most important people in our lives truly meant the world to us.
