Another great source for Vintage postage stamps for your wedding invitations is TreasureFox who sells on Etsy. There are dozens of pre-packaged stamp combos or you can ask to have a custom order made to match you wedding theme or colors. Very reasonably priced and prompt to reply to your convos. Brides to be should check TreasureFox out on Etsy.com

I love this idea, but if you're using old stamps, will the post office mind? Are these envelopes ok to mail this way?

    Thanks!

@Christina All stamps are valid for use on local or international mail – on all letters and parcels. Indeed, the Scott's, Unitrade and Stanley Gibbons catalogues often price FINE USED stamps from the 80s and 90s at MANY times their face value. And this applies for US, Canadian, British and Australian stamps.

If you run a small business you can pay the Registered fee using mint stamps as well. I heard from a few business owners who received positive comments from their customers who give the stamps to their children or charities.
Imagine your client's DELIGHT when s/he receives pretty STAMPS instead of the meter mark...
