What you will need:
How to Make a Terrarium
Using scissors, cut a piece of moss to fit the bottom of the glass container. Place the moss inside the container. I did not glue the moss to the container.
Place your chosen natural elements (rocks, twigs, botanicals) inside the terrarium. If you want, you can glue them down.
Open your package of model train figures.
Grab your little man (or woman) and glue him to a rock. Place the rock inside the terrarium. That’s it. You are done!! Make several of them as centerpieces for a fraction of the cost of flowers.

Looking for no fuss, no muss DIY wedding ideas for your reception? What about no-bake customized fortune cookies?
I love the idea of homemade fortune cookies as wedding favors. So I made some. Although they looked okay, my DIY fortune cookies were a disaster. I gave up on the idea – that is, until Rena from The Cheese Thief sent over this ingenious tutorial.
See, Rena’s cookies don’t require any baking skills whatsoever. The cookies are already baked. All you need to do is remove the message from store bought cookies, add your own custom message – and dip in melted chocolate. Here’s how:
Custom Fortune Cookie Tutorial from The Cheese Thief
You will need:
(optional)First print out custom fortunes using any text editor. Rena used the font Calibri in size 8. Wet a paper towel and ring slightly. You want the paper towel to be damp but not dripping wet. Wrap towel around fortune cookie and microwave for 20 seconds.
Unwrap fortune cookie from towel carefully, towel may be hot.
The fortune cookie should now be pliable enough to open. Quickly removed existing fortune cookie message and replace with your custom printed one.
Reshape fortune cookie (should be fairly simple, as the cookie already has its form) and hold for 10 seconds to keep form. You want to do the last two steps quick, the fortune cookie cools very quickly.
Voila! A customized fortune cookie! And your kitchen is still clean!
If you want to get fancy, you can dip them in melted chocolate (here is an excellent tutorial on how to melt chocolate) and add DIY gum paste flowers.
