Will Nineties Fashion Revival be Part of Your Wedding Day?

Posted on April 30, 2014 by Giselle

Bring back the best of the Nineties with crop tops, slip dresses and dip-dying. These may sound like bold ideas but Nineties style is back with a vengeance and waiting for you to work these fashion trends into your wedding. The key to including these trends into your big day is by refining them to suit your style and simplifying the rest of your look.

The midriff reigned supreme in the Nineties with the popular crop top. Crop tops paired with a wedding skirt are perfect for the bohemian bride. They can show just a glimpse of skin with a high-waisted skirt or can be more revealing for those who dare to bare. Lace and textured details add more of a romantic and bridal feel to this trend.

Foggy Tofino Seaside Elopement: Felina and Max

Posted on April 28, 2014 by Gaelan

Max and Felina’s friends and family always assumed that the couple would one day elope, so it came as no surprise when the couple ran off to Tofino, BC to say ‘I do’.

With their officiant,  photographers Shari + Mike, and their adorable dog Hugo by their side, the couple chose Chesterman Beach along Tofino’s spectacular and rugged coast to secretly exchange their vows. Despite the rain and fog, their wedding day was relaxed, carefree, and of course, utterly romantic!

    Spring Bridal Beauty Inspiration

Posted on April 25, 2014 by Giselle

Spring is the season to be inspired by some seriously pretty bridal beauty looks. We’re quite sure that the term ‘blushing bride’ came from a spring wedding. When thinking of your makeup for the day, look to the hues of the season for inspiration. As the weather starts to warm up there’s still a freshness in the air. This is the time for lightweight, natural and fresh make up.

A dewy base will give you an effortless glow and has a light and rosy finish. To achieve this look the work starts before the makeup goes on. Take the time to cleanse, moisturize and exfoliate with your favorite products to ensure that your skin is in optimal condition. A brightening primer will give your complexion a boost and also help to keep your makeup in place. A hydrating foundation or tinted moisturizer are great for this look. Follow with a soft pink highlighter for enviable rosy cheeks.
