I love the idea of an intimate wedding...and luckily, I am having one...but is my wedding still considered intimate with 90 people. My FH and I come from very large families (He has 6 sisters and 1 brother and I have 21 aunts and uncles- not included their spouses)? Just wondering? Thanks!
Congrats on your upcoming wedding Shannon!
I think everyone has their own definition of intimate. For me, a wedding with 75 guests or less is considered intimate. That said, when you compare a guest list of 90 people to one with 300 (as many weddings are!), 90 does seem intimate!
I love the idea of an intimate wedding as well!! Upon telling some of my friends about my current boyfriend's (hopefully soon fiance's) and my plans to have a small wedding of less than 60 people she teased saying we were having a VIP event. As an event designer I see all too often the stress and pressure of having a very large event with tons of guests invited. M and I both want something small, intimate, sophisticated and sexy. I cannot wait until we are engaged and can begin planning!!
I love looking through all the real weddings and all the ideas and links that this site has to offer. It has been extremely useful as I've planned my own intimate wedding (20ish guests). Thanks to all who have shared!
